| By admin, on February 21, 2010 As lovers of walking and hiking and photography, we place our photos on this website. During the walks, the route is stored in our GPS (Garmin Oregon 300). This way you can enjoy the lovely walks we do. On the website are currently day walks in Netherlands and in Majorca. Most day walks are provided with an informative text, photos, elevation profiles and GPS route. In France we walk the long distance GR 70 Chemin de Stevenson (250 km) run. From this you will find an introduction of the route, the biography of RL Stevenson, an accommodation list, the best travel season, road facilities, photos and a description of the stages , elevation profiles and GPS data. For 2010 we have next day hikes in the Netherlands a new long distance walk in the program, namely the Austrian Jakobsweg of Wolfsthal to Feldkirch (810 km). Once again a walk run, is on the website, so keep an eye on the site regularly for even more beautiful walks. Enjoy your walk required! Marco and Esther By admin, on November 15, 2009 For this walk we left from the parking Roompot Lunsbergen holiday park, located just outside of Borger. The route we had been home from Garmin Mapsource Topo Netherlands made. Yet we go the route partially adapted. We have in the beginning the circle around the Lunsven added to the walk. The GPS was a path to the fen, but soon the path was not found. It was as careful, as autumn leaves and wet moss took care of some smoothness. We still continued and the mid-ven we came back right on a footpath. In the water beautiful reflections were visible. Back at the beginning of the Lunsven we picked up the route. A long legal graspad surrounded by the yellow leaves of the trees. Here we just went straight longer, because the computer via a narrow bridle path chosen proved to be. We walk on through the forest, where both spruce and deciduous trees. The route takes us to one of the many dolmens in this area. The findings from this dolmen can now look at the Dolmen Museum in Borger. When you Hunebed Museum is the largest dolmen Netherlands. Although there is a bench and we'd like to break, because we walked the cold wind still continued. The path now runs through huge fields with turf, they are now made for the place of grass in your garden. Chances are there on the sandy path that you also come across riders. After a short cycle turns the wood into a more open area with several fens. You walk in the middle Drouwenerveld. We see more and more hikers with children and it is soon obvious why, here is the Broomkroonpad example, an attraction where you climb up and across the tops of the trees is. More information can be found on the website www.staatsbosbeheer.nl. Towards the visitors Timber Kuhn house we walk on a cobbled street called. This field during the glacial boulders transported from Scandinavia. While digging the land for afforestation around 1930 they came out and were then used to harden the sand roads. We continued walking and soon you'll hardly anyone anymore. We walk along a wide path over a large moorland to the GPS indicates that we need right. But where? It shows a very narrow path between, which is somewhat hidden. As you can see on the map, we had to go straight, but it is much more fun. Walking along narrow bospaadjes through the forest, which is simply delicious. Moments later we stabbing the main road and we walk back to the Meindert Veen. The estate Meindert Veen characterized by moist pieces heath and fens. It also contains a vast heath lateral moraine, visible through the bump in the field. Again we get the trouble, the GPS indicates that we should walk straight up to the Stroet Dijk and we are doing that, although the path is difficult to see. We think the final piece to the Stroet Dijk is not often run, since it is completely overgrown and you need to go over a ditch in the cycle to come. Afterwards we had better to follow the path left and go right a little later. Through the cycle we are back from the parking lot of the bungalow and enjoy the restaurant a delicious hot chocolate with apple pie. More info Drenthe, walk-rangers Casting Borger, 13 km By admin, on November 15, 2009 The last weekend of October have just been away for a weekend holiday Roompot Lunsbergen in Borger, Drenthe. As you can arrive until 15 hours, we stopped in the road Zeegse for a nice walk through the area of the Drentsche Aa. We have the car parked near Golden Tulip Drenthe Hotel, but another good option is parking in Gasteren. This walk on the computer at home we have created through the program of Garmin Mapsource Topo Netherlands. That was really fun to do, especially because you're not tied to fixed and hiking trails so you can invent your own special route. It should take into consideration that you do not accidentally a contour line for a much walking path. We leave the road and walk quickly on a dirt road along a heather patch. Then we dive into the woods, where an area is deserted at this time of Beautiful Zeegse camping association. The narrow forest path comes out at a wider path, partly through the forest and partly along the edge of the woods on the other side of the meadows and the river Schipborg Australian Deep. After the forest we walk through the meadows between the river and come closer, which we cross via a bridge. You follow now a part of the Pieterpad. After one meanders through the forest we come to a vlonderpad and not much later we walk over the dunes Gasterse, a special variety and a sand area dekzandrug, sandwiched between 2 streams of the riverine Drentsche Aa. At the end of this heathland is found in a dolmen, a nice place to pause. The Scottish Highlanders find it pleasant here, they are wonderful to graze at a distance. After a mile we arrive in Gasteren, where we hoped to eat a pancake, but in contrast to the time on the website, was Pannenkoekenboerderij Brinkzicht closed. Fortunately we do not have enough food with us and just outside the village we have our lunch served on a bench. A path takes us past the open fields to a forest, where necessary maintenance and restoration of nature a large number of trees logged. In this section we saw several birds of prey. We Oudemolen stabbing the Australian and Deep on an alternating cycle and follow a path until we arrive at a road. Here we take the sandy path through the woods, where we passed some beautiful houses, hidden among the trees, running and so we return to Zeegse. A nice walk through a beautiful nature filled with autumn colors. More info Drentsche Aa Walk through the National Park, 13 km | |
