Stage 11: Mijavols - Florac
The route begins today with a climb to the Col du sapete (1080 m), where we resume the GR 70. During the climb disappears the low clouds / fog, which yields beautiful views. From the Col du sapete slowly drops the route through the Foret Domaniale Ramponenche. At the col the Perpau is careful here, because here we can go up to 8 different directions. A good place for a short break. At this crossroads we go straight. A little further away is our very sharply right. At this point you can also choose a shorter route to Florac us through the GR 68. Through the GR68 is still 4.7 km to Florac, via the GR 70 is 8.7 km. We do of course follow the GR 70. From this point the road descends faster. Eventually you'll come out of the river Tarn, still a small stream. We now follow the Tarn to it by the first bridge (Pont de Pontes) to stabbing. On the other side of the Tarn we continue our way along a narrow path. Across the river we see the village Beduès lying on the hill with its striking La Collegiate Church (14th century). After a short climb and a descent stabbing we tarn for the second time. Here we leave the road to turn left to go to our campsite, the GR 70 is right at the roundabout. Arrived at the campsite, the reception is closed. After an hour wait on an empty terrace and a phone call, we learned that we were on the wrong site. We had reserved for another site, we had them right at the roundabout. After about 100 meters was the correct site on the left side of the road. We heard from the administrator that this error sometimes happens, because both sites have the same address and zip code and street name with no real number. Tired, but still laughing at our stupid mistake, we take up residence in a 4-person mobile home, our home for the next three nights. Then we went to the supermarket walked at night to enjoy a delicious homemade pasta dish.
